The teaser for the Indo-Pak web series Dhoop Ki Deewar was released on the 15th of June. Soon after the release, the Pakistani fans started raising their voices against the web series. The fans tweeted that this show is disrespectful to the Kashmiris. A large number of fans were of the view that peace with India, never was, and will never be an option as both the countries are two different nations with different views and religious believes, they can never live in harmony. The web series Dhoop ki Deewar is written by Umera Ahmed. Umera Ahmed also faced a huge backlash over this project. Some netizens even termed her a traitor. Umera Ahmed took to her Instagram to clarify her stance on the matter. She explained that she hasn’t written this story for an Indian channel but it was written for a Pakistani company. That company sold her story to Zee5 to earn revenue that came to Pakistan. Umera Ahmed also clarified that when she wrote this story for the first time, she sent it to ISPR for their approval, so the tag of the traitor is also not valid.
