Emirates Airlines, the premier UAE airline, has stated that the airlines will be extending the ban till July 15 on passenger flights from Pakistan. On Saturday, it was announced by the UAE airlines that passenger flights from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan will be suspended till July 15, 2021, on the UAE governments’ directives. Emirates airlines further announced that it will not carry any traveler who was on a connected flight through Sri Lanka, Pakistan, or Bangladesh in the last 2 weeks. UAE Golden Visa holders, UAE nationals, and diplomatic missions’ members are exempt from this restriction. On 28th June 2021, the GCAA (General Civil Aviation Authority) of the UAE government extended the ban on flights coming from 14 countries, that included Pakistan also, till July 21, 2021, in the wake of the ongoing COVID pandemic. This ban, however, is not applicable on cargo flights, charter flights, or business flights.
