She is a renowned singer, she can sing in multiple languages, she has even stepped into the ground of acting, she is the recipient of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, she is our one and only Hadiqa Kiani. After paying a tribute to the iconic character Diriliş: Ertuğrul in 2020, she has now decided to take on a new challenge and that is the qawwali. She recently released a qawwali track in collaboration with Sufiscore titled, Jaanay Iss Dil. This qawwali also features Zohaib Hassan on the Sarangi, Irfan Khan on harmonium, and Ustad Dildar Hussain on tabla.
Ustad Dildar Hussain is the patented tabla player of late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and had a pivotal role in live performances of the legend for over 3 decades. The qawwali sung by Hadiqa Kiani is also written by Ustad Dildar Hussain. The director of this qawwali video is Abdullah Harris and it is produced by Mian Yousaf Salahuddin. Hadiqa said that she has been listening to the qawwali since her childhood but never tried it. Now when she got the opportunity, she took it. She feels that this qawwali will be a treat for her fans.
