Haider Ali, the first-ever athlete to win a gold medal for Pakistan in Paralympics

The 36-years old Paralympian hailing from Gujranwala, Haider Ali, has done what no one else had ever done for Pakistan in the Paralympics. Haider Ali became the first-ever Paralympian to win a Gold Medal for Pakistan in the Paralympics. Haider Achieved this feat in the discus throw final at the Tokyo Summer Paralympics 2020. Haider hit a throw of 55.26 meters in the F37 discus throw final. Earlier, Haider has won a silver medal in the 2008 Paralympics, and a bronze medal at Rio 2016 Games in the long jump. After winning the Gold Medal, Haider said, it was not easy. It took him five years to train as he didn’t have proper training facilities, but still, he wanted to come to Tokyo and win the medal for his nation. Haider Ali has dedicated his Gold Medal to the people of Pakistan who prayed for him.
