Ibrahim Sajid, a 21-years old medical student of AKU-MC (Agha Khan University-Medical College) has developed an invisible and pain-free method to inject humans. The prototype of this product has already won him the Global Pediatrics Research Investigator award. This award was given to him by the prestigious Pediatrics Research weekly Publication journal, Nature. The fear of the needle is known as trypanophobia. According to the researches, 70 percent of fear is from the sight of the needle, and the actual prick sensation accounts for only 30 of this fear. The prototype of this product is yet to be tested on humans but it has been tested successfully in laboratories. We have high hopes that this pain-free method will end the injection trauma in children and adults alike. The Agha Khan University and the whole of Pakistan are proud of this young doctor, Ibrahim Sajid.
