The security conditions in the city have seen a prominent improvement in recent years, this is the reason why Lahore ranked higher than many prominent and happening cities.

In the current list that consists of 431 cities, Lahore is at the 252^nd spot with a crime index of 39.56 and a safety index of 60.44. Lahore has dominated cities like Delhi (crime index= 59.18 & safety index= 40.82), New York (crime index= 46.96 & safety index= 53.04), Ankara (crime index= 39.69 & safety index= 60.31), London (crime index= 52.81 & safety index= 47.19), & Paris (crime index= 53.19 & safety index= 46.81). The standing of other Pakistani cities is; Karachi is at 106^th spot, Rawalpindi at 113^th spot, and Islamabad at 349^th spot. According to this report, Islamabad is the safest city in Pakistan.
