PTA to conduct surveys to ascertain the quality of service provided by mobile companies

Have you ever faced a situation where you are in a desperate need to contact someone for an emergency but the mobile network is not available to make a call or send a message even? It is a routine issue that mobile network subscribers have to face in their daily lives, be it domestic or professional. But this is about to change as PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) has announced that it will conduct a QOS (Quality of Service) survey to ascertain whether the mobile companies or operators are providing their customers with quality voice and data services as per their license standards.

These surveys will be conducted, in the form of series, throughout the year with the first one to be conducted in the 1st quarter of the year 2021. The surveys will be conducted independently using a newly acquired automated tool called the “SmartBenchmarker”. It will measure the voice, data services, and SMS parameters of CMOs (Cellular Mobile Operators). The survey will be carried out in 30 different areas including cities, towns, AJ&K, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Once the survey is complete, its results will be published for the public and necessary action will be taken where needed. This will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of mobile services provided by the CMOs.

Ye surveys jo k aik series ki sorat main conduct kye jaen ge wo pura saal chalain ge aur sab se pehla survey saal 2021 ki pehlay quarter main ho ga. Ye surveys azadana tor pe aik naye automated tool k zariye se munaqid kye jaen gey jis ka naam “SmartBenchmaker” hai. Survey 30 mukhtalif areas main kia jae ga jin main shehar, kasbay, AJ&K aur GIlgit Baltistan shamil hain. AIk baar jab survey complete ho jae ga to iss k results ko public k lye publish bhi kia jae ga aur agar zarorat hui to munasib action bhi lia jae ga. CMOs ki taraf se provide ki janay wali mobile services ko behtar bananay main iss ka bohat hi eham kirdaar ho ga.
