The Minister of Education for Punjab province, Murad Raas announced, on Friday, the closure of all public and private schools from September 6th to September 11th in-lieu of the current COVID-19 situation. Murad Raas took to his Twitter account and urged the public to stay home and stay safe. He requested the masses to protect themselves and their families. The minister, in his earlier tweet, announced that any public or private school where the COVID-19 SOPs are not being implemented will be closed with immediate effect. Murad Raas further added that there will be no exceptions to this instruction. During the past 24-hours, 1,368 new Covid cases and 20 more deaths have been reported in the Punjab province due to the coronavirus. The Health Secretary of the Punjab province, Mr. Imran Sikandar Baloch said that Corona positivity ratio in the Punjab province is currently 6.1 %.

Unhon ne awaam se ye bhi kaha hai ke wo apnay ap ko aur apni families ko mehfooz rakhain. Minister ne apni pehli tweet main ilaan kia tha ke jis bhi public ya private school main COVID-19 SOPs per amal nahi kia jae ga uss ko foran band kar dia jaye ga. Murad Raas ne mazeed kaha ke ye hidayat sab ke lye hai kisi ko bhi exepmtion nahi di jae gi.
