In his interview on Saturday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on religious harmony, Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi claimed that the Saudi Arabian government has allowed 60,000 pilgrims from all over the world, including Pakistan, to perform Hajj this year. But the Saudi government has denied this claim of Tahir Ashrafi about Hajj. An envoy of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan said that the announcement made by Tahir Ashrafi related to Hajj this year is inaccurate. He said that no decision has been finalized yet regarding the allowance of foreign pilgrims to perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia this year. The Saudi envoy clarified that we have raised several proposals to the government but all are still under review.
