The US Embassy under the USAID’s Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program (MNBSP) has announced that it will grant 700 graduate-level scholarships to Pakistani women. These scholarships will be granted in partnership with the HEC (Higher Education Commission). These scholarships will be awarded to outstanding Pakistani women for the period of two years (2021-2023) so that they may earn their Master’s degrees. These scholarships will be given in the field of business, health sciences, agriculture, engineering, and social sciences. With the announcement of these additional 700 scholarships by USAID MNBSP, the total awarded scholarships to Pakistani students has reached 6,000. According to the Deputy Mission Director of USAID Michael Nehrbass, the purpose of these fully-funded scholarships is to help the most talented Pakistani women to meet their higher education goals.
